Origin of the Name
During that period of time, England has National Service just like we do. Annually, enlisted young soldiers from England would be sent over to Changi Village and many other places in Singapore. Not originating from an English-speaking family, the language barrier was a problem as communicating with those soldiers was difficult. However as time went by and we got closer, they gave me a name. Charlie it was and that was how Charlie’s Corner eventually came about.
Do you believe in Change
In life, things might not work out as planned. Thus, it is necessary for one to do something to change it. Perhaps things would change for a better and, bring hope to success. If one doesn't change, you would just vegetate.
Why do you closed from 2.30 - 6pm?
Initially, the restaurant operated throughout the day but after much observation, we started to operate only during lunch and dinner hours as to fully utilise the late afternoons to prepare for the dinner crowd.
